Because You’re Hot and You’re Cold

It’s the holiday season and here in southern California that can only mean one thing; continuous warm weather. However, this year we have already experienced periods of cold weather. It seems like one week it is cold and the next week it is warm. With the weather changing back and forth it is important to keep warm in the cold and cool in the heat. To make sure you are always feeling nice and cozy in either your or your tenant’s apartment come down to Feder’s Distributors and get a new air conditioning/heating system.

One of our best models is the Frigidaire 12,000 BTU air conditioner with the model number FRA12EHT2. The A/C can quickly cool a room on hot days and features three different fan speeds, for more cooling flexibility. The remote control that comes equipped with the machine offers you the flexibility to control temperature and fan speed from anywhere in the room. The sleep mode makes the temperature gradually increase a few degrees over the evening, saving energy and creating a comfortable environment during the evening hours. There is also a programmable 24-hour on/off timer so you can ensure your home will be cool and comfortable when you want it to be without worrying about utility bills. The built in timer allows you to preset the unit to turn on and off in half hour increments.

The supplemental heating option lets you be comfortable regardless of the temperature outside. You have both heating and cooling solutions to ensure comfort. The electronic controls allow you to set the comfort level to your preference, while a convenient temperature readout displays the set temperature. There is a clean filter alert that notifies you when your filter needs to be cleaned so you don’t have to keep track of it yourself. The antibacterial filter also reduces bacteria, room odors and other airborne particles for a healthier, more comfortable environment.

One More Cook in the Kitchen!

If you have been waiting for the next big thing to help enhance the quality of your kitchen, the wait is almost over! Frigidaire Professional is coming out with four different models of brand new downdraft cooktops. Being offered are 36” and 30” cooktops in both black and stainless steel colors. The stainless steel cooktops are both gas powered while the black versions are electric.

The 36” stainless steel gas cooktop with a model number of RC36DG60PS has many helpful features. The downdraft system is made to whisk away odors and smoke without the need for overhead ventilation. The Pro-Select Controls give you precise control at your fingertips with no need of worrying that you will accidently turn the heat up to high or low. The PowerPlus Boil has a 17,000 BTU sealed burner that boils water faster and the continuous grates make it easy to move heavy pots and pans between burners without even having to lift them!

The 30” stainless steel gas cooktop has a model number of RC30DG60PS with many similar features to its 36” counterpart. It contains a downdraft system, 17,000 BTU PowerPlus Boil, continuous grates and Pro-Select Controls too.

Unlike the stainless steel cooktops, the 36” black cooktop is electric and not gas. This cooktop has the model number RC36DE60PB and like the gas ones features the downdraft system. It also includes PowerPlus Boil and Pro-Select controls. The 36” black electric cooktop has SpaceWise Expandable Elements, which are flexible elements that expand to your cooking needs. You can be as creative as you want thanks to the expandable elements.

The 30” black cooktop is also electric and has the downdraft system. It has many of the same features of its 36” counterpart and also contains the SpaceWise Bridge Element. This is a flexible element that lets you combine two elements into one to fit even larger cookware. This feature is one of many that help make your cooking experience truly convenient.

These four cooktops will be available soon, so make sure to get the right one depending on which kind of cooktop you need. They will be available at both our locations, North Hollywood and at the old Carlson’s Warehouse in Santa Monica, so stay tuned!

Summer in the City

Now that summer is here, our newest location in Santa Monica is getting busy and for good reason. A couple of weeks ago the signs and logos went up on the building helping draw attention to an already growing customer base. There have already been multiple occasions when a  customer has come inside because they saw the signs on the building and showed interest in our products. And speaking of products, with the summer heat almost here it is a perfect time to buy air conditioners. California Will Give You $50.00 For This!

Have an old washing machine like this one sitting around waiting to be picked up?  Planning on purchasing a new one for your home?

The Cash for Appliances program begins on April 22, 2010 (Earth Day) in California and would be a great time for you to get it done!

As a Platinum Partner with the program, Feder’s Distributors will be happy to pick up your old washing machine when we deliver your new one, haul it away and recycle it for you at no extra charge!  We’ll give you a receipt for proof of recycling, along with all the forms that need to be filled out so you can receive a $50 check from the state.

As you probably already know, California received $35.2 million to educate and give incentives to California consumers when they purchase brand-new energy star qualified washers, refrigerators, and room air conditioners.

If you plan to purchase any of these products, now would be the time to get a move on!

In addition to receiving $50.00 for your old washing machine, you can also earn $200.00 for your old refrigerator, and $50.00 for your old room air conditioner.  But not only that, you can still qualify for any additional manufacturer rebates as well as any additional utility company rebates!  Virtually making your new energy star qualified appliance close to free!

For example, when you turn in your old washing machine (like the one that’s more than 30 years old in the pictures above), and purchase a new one, you’ll receive a $50.00 check!

If you plan on purchasing a new energy star qualified refrigerator from Whirlpool, for example, you’ll not only receive $200.00 from the state just for turning your old refrigerator in, an additional $65.00 from your utility company (like DWP) and an additional $35.00 from DWP just for recycling your old refrigerator is also available.  Also, if Whirlpool has additional rebates for purchasing said energy star model, you’ll be eligible to receive that as well!

If you turn in your old room air conditioner, not only will you receive the $50 from California for the Cash for Appliances program, but you could also receive an additional $50 from your local utility company!

The best part? You’ll be helping keep your environment cleaner an use a much small percentage of energy than your old washer, refrigerator, or air conditioner!

Don’t Buy A New Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Or Air Conditioner!

Don’t buy a new washing machine, refrigerator, or air conditioner in California until April 22nd (Earth Day)!

If your washing machine, refrigerator, or air conditioner has bit the dust, or is about to, you should wait to purchase a new one on April 22, 2010 through May 23, 2010.

As we’ve discussed here, here, and here, and tweeted about here, here, here, here, here, here, and here, The US government has set aside $300,000,000 for a rebate program similar to the Cash For Clunkers program last year called Cash For Appliances.

Details for the program in California have been sketchy until yesterday.  On its official website Cash4Appliances.org, it was announced that rebates will be available for Californians who purchase  a washer, refrigerator, or air conditioner between April 22, 2010 (Earth Day) through May 23, 2010, and recycle their old one through a certified recycler.  The rebate applicant must be a California residential consumer and must purchase an eligible appliance that meets the state’s efficiency requirements. The purchased appliance must replace an existing, working appliance.

Rebates are first-come, first-serve and will be processed as received until funds are depleted. Rebate applications must be postmarked by June 25, 2010.

Consumers who take advantage of this program can receive $200 back for a qualified refrigerator, $100 back for a qualified clothes washer, and $50 back for a qualified room air conditioner!

Customers will receive their rebates within four to six weeks if the rebate claim is complete. A complete claim contains the filled out and signed rebate claim form with appliance serial number, certificate of recycled appliance, a copy of utility bill (to verify California residential address), and a copy of the sales receipt.

Additionally, the California Cash For Appliances rebates can be combined with other manufacturer, retailer, or utility company rebates!  Like these.
