By 2011, Saudi Arabia should increase its air conditioner market to approximately $700 million. Today, it stands at $450 million.

LG Electronics, one of the largest air conditioner manufacturers in the world, has built a new $35 million factory there. They will be able to increase their output by 100% over the next four years, and plan to invest an additional $20 million in their production. Their current output of 250,000 units will jump to 500,000 by 2012.
